The Nantwichnews Blog was set up in 2009 to provide anyone with an interest, involvement or attachment to this fabulous Cheshire market town with news, sport and what’s on information all under one online roof!
Since then we have expanded to cover surrounding villages such as Willaston, Shavington, Wybunbury, Wrenbury and Acton.
Nantwichnews now attracts more than 3,000 viewers every week, topping 15,000 a month, and continues to grow.
If you have a story (or stories) to tell or want to help out, we’d love to hear from you.
Write to me at peter.leydon@sky.com and provide your contact details, I’ll get straight back to you.

Hi Pete,
Thanks for your support with the launch of my family website (lovenantwich.com) I’ve had a bumper number of hits in the first week of the launch and it’s thanks to people like you that it looks set to be a great success. I find Nantwichnews a fantastic source of info for the town. Keep up the good work!

OK we didn’t win BT infinity but it doesn’t matter as BT have just released the next 41 towns to get it and we are in it

Spring 2012, which is a while but could bring in better business if they have super fast broadband to hook up to.
Can you please put a story about http://www.racetoinfinity.bt.com/ its a new website by BT allowing the public to vote for the next place to get super fast broadband. Nantwich is not in the initial roll-out while Crewe, Sandbach and others are. Vote for Nantwich and make Nantwich a better place!!
thanks Barry, we’ll run something on the Blog asap
best wishes
Pete

Hej Pete,
I was in the Theory and Practice lecture/seminar today about how to find stories. I am on the Journalism joint honours course.
I thought I would check out your blog, which you mentioned in the lecture today to see what kind of topics you write on and of course as part of my additional study. I enjoyed the variety of subjects you covered in the blog and it has given me inspiration of where to find my own stories in my home town (Burton on Trent).
Andrew
