Detectives want witnesses who saw a robbery at a bookmakers in Nantwich Road to come forward. Two masked men entered Corbetts Bookmakers in Nantwich Road, Crewe, and stole cash from the premises.

Rail travellers between Nantwich and Crewe were delayed today after an accident at Willaston level crossing. Police had to close the rail line temporarily after the accident involving a lorry at the crossing.

Nantwich in Bloom volunteers are already working hard to impress judges in the UK finals of Britain in Bloom. Nantwich scooped the gold medal at the North West in Bloom awards ceremony in Southport, winning the town section and the nomination to represent the region in Britain in Bloom.
