A Nantwich student was left star-struck when she met up with a Hollywood actor in London.
Alice Thompson, 21, was given the chance to meet Australian actor Hugh Jackman and see the film premiere of his latest movie Real Steel at the Empire Leicester Square.

Rail travellers between Nantwich and Crewe were delayed today after an accident at Willaston level crossing.
Police had to close the rail line temporarily after the accident involving a lorry at the crossing.

Richmond Village Nantwich hosted a black tie benefit ball in aid of the ABF The Soldiers Charity.

A Nantwich village play group is in danger of closing because it is struggling to recruit volunteer helpers.
Willaston Pre-School group, which has been caring for children for 25 years, will be forced to close if it is unable to find a chairman, said Cllr Brian Silvester.

Nantwich residents are being warned over Council Tax scams believed to be circulating in the area.
Cheshire East Council has received calls from worried people reporting they have been contacted by someone claiming to work for ‘the Council Tax section’.
