Nantwich has scooped the gold medal in the North West in Bloom 2011 awards. It means Nantwich will go forward to compete in the national awards in the town category early next year.

A former health clinic in Nantwich could be turned into a Marks and Spencer food store, sources suggested today. It’s believed the retail giant has looked at the empty building (pictured), behind the library on Beam Street, as a possible location.

Mayor of Nantwich Arthur Moran will be special guest at the first league football meeting between Nantwich and Chester in 80 years. Traders are angry at Cheshire East Council’s decision to raise car parking charges in Nantwich, says a councillor. Shoppers and visitors to the town will have to pay 60p for an hour or a £1 for two hours, a rise of 10p on each tariff.
