Nantwich Town notched a second successive league victory with an impressive 3-1 win away at FC United of Manchester tonight (September 14). The Dabbers turned in an excellent performance in front of 1,350 supporters at Bury’s Gigg Lane, and crashed in three second half goals to seal all three points.

Nantwich Town sign Latvian player to boost midfield

Nantwich Town have signed a Latvian player after a trial period at the Weaver Stadium. Midfielder Aleksandrs Solovjovs (pictured) arrives in Nantwich from Cyprus second division club Atromitos Yeroskipou. Dabbers boss Jimmy Quinn  secured the signing after gaining international clearance from the Cyprus FA.

But it could have been so much better for the Dabbers, who led three times during the game, having to settle for a point when the hosts scored a stoppage time equaliser.

Nantwich Town bottom of league after 3-0 defeat at home

Fewer than 300 supporters watched Nantwich Town slump to the foot of the Evo-Stik Premier League with a 3-0 home defeat by Bradford Park Avenue. The Dabbers were no match for a strong visiting team and were beaten before the break as Bradford rattled all three goals in the first 45 minutes.

Police to segregate fans for Nantwich Town v Chester FC clash

Police have urged Nantwich Town and Chester FC to segregate their fans when the two teams meet in an eagerly-awaited Bank Holiday league clash on August 29. The measures will be in place to prevent trouble at the Weaver Stadium where a large crowd is expected.
