Hundreds of young book fans are being rewarded at Nantwich Library after completing a summer reading scheme. A series of presentations have been taking place at the library this week to celebrate children who took part in the Circus Stars reading challenge.

A new community transport service for Nantwich and the surrounding rural area has been launched. MP Edward Timpson officially unveiled the service dedicated to the elderly, people with disabilities or those who are socially isolated.

MP for Crewe & Nantwich Edward Timpson has launched a new campaign to get closer to his constituents. The new “Edward Timpson On Your Street” idea had its first outing on Millstone Lane, in Nantwich. Mr Timpson believes visiting constituents at their home will offer them a chance to make their thoughts and concerns heard.

Dozens of parents and excited youngsters gathered for the official opening of a new play area in Nantwich today (July 16). The recreation area, next to Pear Tree Primary School in Stapeley, was opened by MP Edward Timpson who hailed the achievement of the Stapeley Action Group for seeing the project through.

By Jonathan White Hundreds of onlookers crammed the streets of Wybunbury to watch the village’s historic Fig Pie Wakes event. The fig pies, made from a special recipe, were rolled from the Swan Inn pub down the Main Road to see how far they would travel. There were separate race categories for 10s and under, 16s [...]
