The Dabbers turned in an excellent performance in front of 1,350 supporters at Bury’s Gigg Lane, and crashed in three second half goals to seal all three points.

Nantwich Town were beaten 4-3 for the second consecutive league game in a topsy-turvy encounter at home to Burscough. The Dabbers at one point trailed 4-1, but scored two goals in a minute to give themselves a chance with 20 minutes left.

Two goals by Ben Mills (pictured) helped Nantwich Town register their first point of the season in a pulsating 4-4 draw away at Chasetown. But it could have been so much better for the Dabbers, who led three times during the game, having to settle for a point when the hosts scored a stoppage time equaliser.

Fewer than 300 supporters watched Nantwich Town slump to the foot of the Evo-Stik Premier League with a 3-0 home defeat by Bradford Park Avenue. The Dabbers were no match for a strong visiting team and were beaten before the break as Bradford rattled all three goals in the first 45 minutes.

Nantwich Town will be looking for their first league win of the season when they welcome Bradford Park Avenue to the Weaver Stadium this weekend. The Dabbers slumped to their second consecutive defeat at home to Marine on Wednesday night (August 17), as the visitors won 2-1.
