A Nantwich pub is gearing up to host its annual free music festival over the Bank Holiday weekend. The Boot and Shoe, on Hospital Street, kicks off their Bands @ The Boot festival on Friday night with live performance from Electro 80s from 8pm.

Hospital Street in Nantwich has been labelled as one of the worst roads for air quality in Cheshire East, a report revealed. And it could lead to measures being taken to reduce or amend traffic management on the busy one-way route.

Fire crews tackled a blaze in an out-building off Hospital Street close to Nantwich town centre. The fire happened at the rear of an end terrace house close to Latham’s garage on the roundabout where Hospital Street meets Pratchett’s Row.
