Nantwich Town have appointed Jimmy Quinn as new manager and youth development officer, it was confirmed today (March 19). The former Northern Ireland International, who won 46 caps for his country, had been caretaker boss since Kevin Street and Darren Tinson were sacked 10 days ago.

Nantwich Town joint managers Kevin Street and Darren Tinson have left club by mutual consent, it was revealed today. The Dabbers are currently 14th in the Evo-Stik Premier Division but are just four points above the relegation zone after six straight defeats.

Nantwich Town have been boosted after securing an extension to Lewis Short’s loan spell at the Weaver Stadium. Crewe Alexandra boss Dario Gradi granted the Dabbers’ wish to extend Short’s loan period for a second month until January 17.

Nantwich Town have fought off interest from other clubs for influential midfielder Michael Carr. Carr (pictured) has chosen to stay at the Weaver Stadium despite interest in the former England semi-pro international from clubs like Stafford Rangers. He has now committed himself to the Dabbers following talks with chairman Clive Jackson and joint managers Kevin Street and Darren Tinson.
