Two trainees picked up special honours after completing the second year of their Foundation Degree in Dairy Technology at Reaseheath College. Troy Binch, who works for Arla Foods, was selected as Best Practical Student while Dawn Mason, a First Milk employee, was chosen as Best Academic Student at the Nantwich college.

Reaseheath College students were hailed as champions after playing a key role in the success of the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS). Thirty-six students and two staff from the Nantwich college provided the arena party for the HOYS – the most eagerly awaited event in the equestrian calendar.

A new food and drink centre which will help businesses meet a growing demand for quality British food was officially opened at Reaseheath College in Nantwich. Geoff Russell, Chief Executive of the Skills Funding Agency, toured the college’s new Food Innovation Centre and unveiled a plaque to mark his visit.

Swimming, cycling, climbing and walking challenges were among events which raised over £16,500 for the North West Air Ambulance (NWAA), making this year’s RAG (Raising and Giving) efforts the best ever.
